1960年代、誰かが辺境に土産物屋が必要だと考え、新しく建てられた丸太小屋の列が、古く見えるように作られ、砂利道に沿って配置された。その配列の精度は、実在するどんなゴールドラッシュの町も達成したことがない。刻まれた角は鮮明で、塗装は新しく、各戸口の上の小さな看板は、各小屋が生存よりもむしろはがきに適した目的に割り当てられたことを示唆している。
前景の建物のポーチ手すりにペチュニアの植木鉢が置かれている。これは、開拓者が手間をかけるようなことではないが、すべてのロードサイド・アトラクションが主張する類の市民的なお決まりである。その間の空の砂利敷きは、まだ到着していないツアーバスのために構築されており、群衆を収容するのに十分な広さがあり、現在は誰も収容していない。
小屋の後ろには、電力線が普通の電柱の上を横切って空を横切り、建設者が隠すことができなかった唯一の詳細である。結局のところ、過去は他の誰もと同じ電力網で動いている。
