この画像は1970年代のドイツ、Wormsの街路風景を捉えたもので、著名なDom St. Peter（Worms Cathedral）が特徴である。この大聖堂はロマネスク様式建築の典型例であり、その建設は11世紀初期にまで遡るが、その後の世紀を通じて大規模な再建と追加を経験した。
ドイツの帝国大聖堂の一つとして知られ、神聖ローマ帝国において重要な役割を果たし、1521年のDiet of Wormsの場所となった。ここでMartin Lutherは有名にも彼の見解を撤回することを拒否した。写真は交通信号と自動車を含む現代的な都市インフラが、数世紀の歴史によって形成された都市に統合されている様子を示し、歴史的保存と現代生活の並置を示している。
