Ogni archivio familiare di questo decennio ne ha uno: un marito e una moglie in piedi fermamente davanti alla casa, come se la casa stessa avesse bisogno di un testimone. Il rivestimento in scandole rosso bordeaux e la finitura bianca nitida erano l'ideale del dopoguerra reso solido, la prova che il lavoro costante e un mutuo potevano trasformarsi in qualcosa con una porta d'ingresso e persiane abbinate.

L'uomo in cardigan e la donna nel suo bel vestito blu si sono vestiti per l'occasione di stare fermi, il che, negli anni 1960, era un'occasione in sé.
