This is what "modern" looked like in the 1970s: buildings designed to integrate with nature, usually by having many angles and being nestled into a hillside rather than standing proudly on top of it. Architects believed this blending offered a more organic, less imposing way to exist. People who used these buildings just wanted adequate ventilation.
A light-colored vehicle sits parked, a common sight at any campus or office park of the era. It performs its function, waiting patiently, an extension of the individual who chose it for its utility and perhaps some perceived status, oblivious to the architectural statements around it.
The very tall, pale-trunked trees simply stand, having observed countless trends in human construction come and go. They will continue to exist long after this particular interpretation of harmony with nature has been updated, replaced, or simply fallen out of style.
