誰かが窓で別の種類の写真を撮るために用意されたカメラを持ち、代わりに夜間の降雪で湾曲した若いモミの木に向けた。その背後のケラバの家は嵐の光の中で柔らかく、青くなっていた。これはその時代のアマチュア写真家の冬の反射である。季節はちょうどグリーティングカードの表紙のように見える風景を提供したばかりで、太陽またはプラウトラックが効果を台無しにする前にそれを記録する義務は広く感じられ、ほとんど抵抗されなかった。
木自体は、毎冬、拍手なしで木が行うことを行っており、その仕事のために設計されたことのない枝に何百ポンドもの雪を保持し、クリスマスカードのイラストレーターがクリスマスカードの木を描くように求められた場合に描くであろう正確な形に垂れ下がっていた。その後ろの近所は平凡な近所であり続けており、その玄関と窓は重要でない背景にぼやけている。なぜなら、その特定の朝、木は誰もが気づく時間があった唯一のものであったからである。
