ある私有飛行機が半島の上で十分に低く銀行を傾け、プロペラのぶれがフレームの角に入り込んだ。これは1960年代のアマチュア操縦士がカメラが高度からできることを発見したばかりの視覚的署名である。彼の下には、真新しいマリーナがある。これは戦後のアメリカがもっと欲しいと思ったすべてを建設した方法で造られた。すなわち、盆地をさらい、防波堤を流し込み、コンクリートが硬化する前に係留地を売ることである。白いハルの列は割り当てられた長方形に従順に座り、レクリエーション・ボートが公式には職業ではなく郊外の便宜に成り難っていることの証拠である。

隣には、ゴルフコースがプライムな防水地を占有し、より楽観的でない時代は何か生産的なために使用したかもしれない。その後ろの丘まで行進する通りのグリッドは、物語の残りを語る。つまり、定規で引かれた分譲地住宅は、ボート係留地とオフィスへの運転距離内のフェアウェイを望む家族のためのものである。この写真の誰もが干ばつ、燃料費、またはこのような便利なレジャーインフラストラクチャが未来との接触をほぼ変わらずに生き残ることは稀であるという事実について考えていない。

湾自体は、前景でぼんやりとして平らであり、いつもしていたことをしていた。最近誰かがそれを切り出した、整然とした矩形のヨットに無関心である。一方、パイロットは、ほぼ確実に自分のショットで自分自身を祝っていた。
