Um aglomerado de folhas de planta verde, cada uma meticulosamente nervurada e ligeiramente felpuda, realiza sua tarefa designada de fotossíntese. Faz isso com uma dedicação silenciosa que sugere não ter ideia do que mais poderia estar fazendo, ou que câmeras existam.
O mundo natural, nos anos 1970, continuou produzindo folhagem que parecia exatamente como a folhagem sempre tinha parecido. Não havia inovação particular no design de folhas, nem urgência aparente.
Só se pode presumir que o fotógrafo tinha uma visão muito específica do que essas folhas representavam, ou talvez simplesmente tivesse ficado sem outras coisas mais interessantes para apontar a lente naquele dia.
