公園部門の誰かがこの景色には看板が必要だと判断したため、彫刻された木製の標識が今、訪問者と彼らが見に来たものの間に立っている。Prospect Pointは20世紀初頭から観光客に自らの名前を知らせてきたが、これは眺望地に標識がなければ単なる崖に過ぎないという健全な市民理論に基づいている。

The historian's note

Prospect PointはStanley Park内の最高地点で、Vancouver半島の北端にあり、First Narrowsを見渡している。1938年に開通したLions Gate Bridgeは、VancouverをNorth Shoreの自治体と結ぶために建設され、North Shore山脈に向かってナローズを横切る様子が見えている。
